Matariki light show and fireworks in Glen Innes

My family and I went to the Matariki lights in my home town, Glen Innes. We saw a lot of people there, even some children from my school came as well. Lots of people were looking at the lights, there was also a maze, I went in the maze with my dad, my cousin and my little brother, we were running around through these coloured lights on the grass. My mum and my sister were taking photos of all the wonderful lights. The lights went right into Te Oro, our local Art centre and there was a show, people were singing. My favourite was the swan light, as it glowed a white light and had beautiful koru patterns and  I like swans. We walked around the whole place and waited for the fireworks to start.

The fire works were so cool. We were standing right underneath it on Taniwha street. They were super duper amazing.I saw some fireworks went high up in the sky and exploded. They were so loud and all I could hear was the fire works and some loud cheering.

The fireworks were all different sizes. I saw whistling ones, twirling ones, I even saw ones that exploded into bright red cherries. There were some rainbow ones that looked like skittles in the sky.

Some went side to side in the sky and some looked like rockets exploding high up in the sky. Everyone clapped and cheered at the end. It was the best fireworks I've ever seen, so next year for Matariki it is going to be even  better and I can not wait.

We made our way home and I went straight in the shower and went on my laptop and fell asleep.
